Supported harnesses and models

README.md, lines 7665–7768View source

zirv ships thirteen harness adapters — claude, codex, gemini, qwen, opencode, pi, copilot, droid, grok, kimi, cursor-agent, goose, and muse — each enabled or disabled per repo in .settings.toml. The model list below is what zirv recognises: it drives tier translation, pricing, review-model escalation, and context-window lookups. Each harness's own CLI still decides what actually launches — a model zirv does not recognise is passed through verbatim but gets no tier translation, since zirv never guesses.

Models per harness#

HarnessModelsBilling/notes
claudeAnthropic ladder (see Model catalogue)single vendor
codexOpenAI laddersingle vendor
geminiGoogle laddersingle vendor
qwenQwen laddersingle vendor
opencodeany catalogue vendor belowmodel is pinned as provider/model (e.g. anthropic/claude-opus-5); zirv resolves the vendor from that prefix and id; an unrecognised model falls back to the static opencode slug
piany catalogue vendor belowmodel is pinned with --model provider/id; zirv resolves the vendor from that prefix and id; an unrecognised model falls back to pi
copilotany catalogue vendor below (ladder lookups only)tier, strength and context window are looked up per model, but billing is always the operator's GitHub Copilot subscription (github), regardless of which model answered
droidany catalogue vendor belowbare model ids (no provider/ prefix) resolve directly against the catalogue; custom:<id> BYOK ids never match a vendor and fall back to the factory slug, with no tier translation
grokxAI laddersingle vendor; no verified row-level transcript schema, so rot-scoring reports no data (issue #390)
kimiMoonshot laddersingle vendor; no verified row-level transcript schema, so rot-scoring reports no data (issue #391)
cursor-agentnone (proprietary)no catalogue vendor and no verified headless model flag; no verified row-level transcript schema, so rot-scoring reports no data (issue #392)
gooseany catalogue vendor belowmodel is paired with a --provider flag derived from the model's own vendor prefix; an unrecognised model falls back to the static goose slug; transcript is a single shared SQLite database whose schema is unverified, so rot-scoring reports no data (issue #393)
museMeta laddersingle vendor; macOS/Linux only; even the transcript location is unverified, so rot-scoring reports no data (issue #394)

Model catalogue#

Every vendor's rungs, strongest first. Anthropic is the only vendor whose alias differs from its model id; every other vendor's alias and id are the same string, so the id is shown only where it differs.

deepseek has no Standard rung, minimax has only its one Standard rung, and meta has no Deep rung — not every vendor fills all three tiers. typesafe is not a harness vendor: it is used only by the harness proxy's TypeSafe Jev decider, priced at $0.042 per MTok input and $0 output. [proxy.typesafe] model defaults to the pinned jev-1.13.0 rather than the jev-latest alias (see "Pinned model" above); both price identically, since jev-1.13.0 is also carried as an extra priced id on the same rung. Beyond the ladder, zirv also recognises claude-fable-5 and the [1m] long-context variants claude-fable-5[1m], claude-fable-5-1[1m], claude-mythos-5[1m] and claude-opus-5[1m] on Anthropic, and gpt-5-codex on OpenAI; none of these six ids is a ladder rung in its own right. gpt-6-astra sits at the top of the OpenAI ladder alongside gpt-5.6-sol, and like fable/mythos carries no tier of its own but classifies as deep for cross-harness fallback. The catalogue for every vendor other than anthropic/openai is a survey dated 2026-09-07.

See Cross-harness fallback and handover for how these tiers drive rerouting between harnesses.
