Upgrading
Built-in (any platform)#
zirv update
zirv update --version <x.y.z>If zirv is installed via Homebrew or Chocolatey, zirv update is refused
by default to prevent desynchronization: the package manager's records would
report the old version, and the next brew upgrade or choco upgrade zirv
would silently revert your binary. Use the package-manager-specific command
instead (see below), or set ZIRV_UPDATE_ALLOW_PACKAGE_MANAGER=1 to override
at your own risk.
Homebrew (macOS & Linux)#
brew upgrade zirvChocolatey (Windows)#
choco upgrade zirvInstall Script (Linux & macOS)#
Re-run the install script to get the latest version:
curl -sSfL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Glubiz/zirv-cli/main/install.sh | shThe same package-manager detection and PATH shadowing checks apply. To update a Homebrew installation with the script, use ZIRV_INSTALL_FORCE=1.
